Cheng Yu Tung College (CYTC) went to the fire station-Central Station to pay a visit on November 14th, 2020. This event had 24 members of CYTC with a 2-hour duration and led by fire station staff. Through this event, the participants understood that firefighters are responsible for protecting citizens’ life and properties, but they are not all-powerful with such limited resources. Providing assistance and resources available to those in need is our social responsibility and that made us a better citizen. At the same time, the participants also learned that the fire would spread out quickly within a couple of minutes. They learned the ways to respond while facing fire to reduce the damages and improve their awareness of how to protect themselves. This learning trip was also to reduce the burden of firemen and avoid wasting resources.
