Cheng Yu Tung College held 2015 Autumn Macau-Hong Kong Poetry Recital
Cheng Yu Tung College invited 4 well-known poets, Wu Yin Ching, Ling Ku, Wong Leung Wo and Un Sio San, from Hong Kong and Macau to read poems again with our students on November 8th.
The poetry recital was very special in a way that not only the poets read poems but also 12 CYTC students chose one of the poets’ works to read. Besides, 6 members from Macao Literary Club also attended this poetry recital and one of them – Ye Lei read a poem by Wu Yin Ching. Our students impressed the poets by their sensitive and touching performance. Students and poets also had an in-depth discussion. Poetry recital fulfills the “Cultural Engagement” of RC 5 competencies and coincides with to the “Cultural Refinement (大雅)” of CYTC goals. Poets expressed that this regularly held poetry recital gave them a feeling of warm family meeting to feel deeply Chinese culture and literature.
