Professor Lee Chack Fan delivered the speech:
“Live Happily for Today-How to Manage Your Life.”
Invited by Cheng Yu Tung College of University of Macao, Professor Lee Chack Fan, an internationally renowned expert in geotechnical engineering, delivered a talk for the college members of Cheng Yu Tung College in the evening of April 27, 2014 in Cheng Yu Tung College. The topic was “Live Happily for Today-How to Manage Your Life.” About 40 College members including students and teachers listened to Professor Lee’s great talk. Professor Lee impressed his audiences by the profundity of his knowledge and rich life experience. The talk received College members’ glowing praise and great success.
Prof Lee is a world-renowned scientist in geotechnical engineering and water resource, and has participated in the design of many massive dams and nuclear power stations. He served on Boards of Consultants for numerous worldwide hydroelectric projects, including the famous Three Gorges Project (三峽工程). He has also served as a specialist consultant or an advisor to many international bodies such as the United Nations Development Plan, World Bank, Asian Development Bank, etc. on numerous energy and infrastructure projects in many parts of the world. Professor Lee was elected the Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering in 2003 in recognition of his contributions to the engineering profession. He has published over 270 technical papers and 9 books.
