CYTC Charity Sales Raised Nearly MOP22,307.59 for Service Learning Programs in Xiushui County, Jiangxi Province
Between August 11 and September 3, 2025, Cheng Yu Tung College (CYTC) hosted a series of charity sales events. The items sold were used daily necessities left behind by move-out students, reflecting the virtues of environmental protection and reuse. Thanks to the enthusiastic support of our students and their families, the charity sale raised a total of MOP 22,307.59, setting a record. This outstanding result significantly surpasses the MOP 16,588.53 raised in 2024 and the MOP 10,398 raised in 2023, underscoring this year’s resounding success and the growing generosity of our community. The funds raised will be used to support CYTC’s service learning program in Xiushui County, Jiangxi Province.
According to central government policies, since 2023, the Macau government and the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao Special Administrative Region have jointly supported rural revitalization programs in Xiushui County, Jiangxi Province. CYTC also follows the policies of the Macao SAR and has completed three times. The program encourages students to participate in volunteer work as a way of practicing social responsibility. Through interactions with children and teachers from rural areas and experiencing traditional culture, students gain unforgettable experiences that last a lifetime. It also exemplifies the virtue of “Great Love” as upheld by the College’s motto.
