In the afternoon of January 24th, 2014, Project Manager of Chow Tai Fook Charity Foundation，Ms Miranda Chan and Project Officer, Ms Alvita Cheung, which represented the donor, visited Cheng Yu Tung College. The delegation was received by the Director of Alumni and Development Office, Dr. Vong Peng Chun, and representatives of Cheng Yu Tung College at Taipa Campus. Master of Cheng Yu Tung College, Prof. Chung Ling, welcomed the delegation with staff and students of Cheng Yu Tung College at the library of Hengqin Campus. Master Chung Ling introduced the layout of Hengqin campus and the position of Cheng Yu Tung College to the delegation in front of the New Campus Model.
The delegation was then guided to the building of Cheng Yu Tung College (W23) that in this summer staff and students will move in. Master Chung explained the unique design of Cheng Yu Tung College. The delegation was very happy to see that the building is so elegant, and its environment is neat and tidy.
The third stop for the delegation was building S9, where Cheng Yu Tung College is currently located. Master Chung guided the delegation to see the gym room, study room, dining hall and library at the ground floor, and the student TV room, pantry, and bedrooms upstairs. The students described their life in the college to the delegation. The delegation was then seated in the TV room at the ground floor. Master Chung reported the concept and vision of the College and the activities held in the first semester.
The visit ended with a relaxed tea session with student representatives, Ou Jian and Shi Jialing, and resident fellows. Project Manager, Ms. Miranda Chan, complimented on the College’s vision and endeavor of enhancing students’ whole person development.
