On February 12, 2025, the CYTC House Association successfully organized a Lantern Festival Fair attracting over one hundred resident members to celebrate this festive and joyous traditional holiday together.

The highlights of the event included the creation of a “Hundred Blessings” painting, where resident members together with Interim College Master hand-wrote the character for “blessing (福)” and assembled them into a unique “Hundred Blessings” painting, symbolizing an abundance of good fortune in the New Year. The event also featured a variety of traditional games, including dart throwing, stilting, rolling iron hoops, and lantern riddle guessing. Resident members were highly enthusiastic, with laughter and cheers filling the air. The handicraft stalls were well-received, as residential members crafted sugar paintings, twisty sticks, and door hangings, showcasing their creativity and craftsmanship.

During the event, the “God of Wealth” and the “Child of Good Fortune” made a surprise appearance, delivering New Year blessings and bringing the atmosphere to a climax. This event not only immersed resident members in the vibrant festive spirit but also deepened the sense of community within the college.
